Bill Thacker, a zoologist, demonstrates how playful mice can be. Most people wouldn't think of mice as the ideal pets, but they are very playful and low maintenance. White laboratory mice are albino, or unpigmented; their eyes appear pink because the blood is seen through them. The exotic African striped mouse uses his long tail to balance and is an avid nest builder. Personality Traits - Mice can be very tame and playful.
- Females tend to get along; males are aggressive, however.
- They like to shred paper and build nests.
