    Bandanna Invitations

    Materials:

    Bandannas
    Raffia string
    Toy Sheriff stars
    Clip art images
    Iron-on transfer paper
    Iron
    Ironing board
    Towel

    1. Choose any clip art that you like from a computer program. We used a steer head, pig and downtown skyline.

    2. Type the party information into a text box and then print the images onto transfer paper (figure A).

    3. Cut the images out and iron them onto your bandannas (figure B).

    4. Tie the bandannas with raffia (figure C) and top them off with toy Sheriff stars.

Expert Tip: Krista Lawlor, Crafts Expert for JoAnns, Etc., says that iron-on transfers can be a little tricky if you have never used them before. Be sure to place the transfer side down when you are using the iron. If any of the transfer were to come off on your iron it would not stick; therefore, it helps to use a Teflon pressing cloth.

Expert Tip: Marc Friedland, Image Expert, says that when it comes to celebrations, what you are providing for your guests is an experience. They will come to your party, eat the food, listen to the music and a week or two later those things will probably be forgotten. What they will remember is what a great time they had and your invitation will always serve as a reminder to the memories they have afterwards. It is really about creating memorable experiences.
