Heidi Bohay, Shelly Balloon and Party Bob talk about their favorite games. Aside from Pin-the-Tail-on-the-Donkey and various board games, these are the games that can be included at your All-American Games Night: - Musical Spots -- Play like musical chairs, using spots that are placed on the floor.
- Who Am I? -- When guests arrive, the name of a famous person is taped to their back. The object is to ask one another yes/no questions to figure out who you are. This is a great way to get to know everyone right off the bat.
- Balloon likes silly games such as Bazooka Bubble Gum. Whoever blows the biggest bubble wins.
- Bohay suggests a game in which each guest writes the name of 10 well-known figures on 10 pieces of paper and throws them in a hat. Everyone grabs a partner, then one person picks a name from the hat and is given 60 seconds to give the other person clues as to the identity.
- Murder a la Carte, with its terrific ideas for menus and costumes, offers a fun evening solving mysteries.
Along with these suggestions, Party at Home recommends the book Family Fun and Games from Sterling Publishing. More than 800 games are listed and explained so that you will never run out of ideas for your Game Night.
