    Materials:

    10 ft. by 10 ft. "EZ-Up" tent
12 yards of a solid fabric
12 yards of a striped fabric
12 yards of a toile patterned fabric
    Zip ties
    Safety pins
    Straight pins
    Duct tape
    Carpet tape
    14 upholstery buttons

    1. Completely cover the white tent with the solid fabric. Use the carpet tape to attach the fabric under the rim of the tent (figure A).

    2. Measure the toile and cut it into equal halves -- it needs to make an "X" over the tent. Lay the fabric in an "X" shape on the ground (figure B) -- 10-1/2 ft. is the center point and that goes right over the top. Get hold of the fabric right in the center and put a zip tie around it to make a small pompon.

    3. Pin the top piece of fabric to the bottom piece.

    4. Place the toile fabric over the top of the tent with the pompon at the top center and each of the 4 sections falling down over the 4 corners (figure C).

    5. Use more pins to make sure the fabric is secure.

    6. The striped fabric gives a tailored look to the pole. Wrap a piece around each pole and secure with tape and pins (figure D) at the top and bottom.

    7. Attach large buttons (figure E) for decoration.
Note: A tent is a great way to prepare your party for inclement weather or you can use it to draw attention to a particular area of the party.
