    Wine Bottle Charms

    Materials:

    Copper tooling foil
    Bone folder
    Stylus
    Sand block
    Awl
    20 gauge wire
    Gold and copper art wire
    Pliers
    Beads
    Earring posts

    1. Cut a small piece of the tooling foil a few inches long into squares.

    2. Fold the edges of each square over and press firmly with bone folder (figure A). The edges of the tool foil are sharp, so repeat this process for the other side.

    3. Cut it into and then file the edges with a sand block (figure B).

    4. Write the names of each guest on a piece of the tool foil with a stylus or other sharp edge (figure C).

    5. Place the tool foil on a scrap piece of wood and drive a hole through the foil with an awl (figure D).

    6. Place some beads onto an earring hoop figure E), add the tool foil with guests name and then add the same amount of beads on the other side of the tool foil.

    7. Place the earring hoop around the stem of the wine glass.
Expert Tip: Marc Friedland, Image Expert, says that having favors at a party has been a long standing tradition, but you can also have fun with the favors. First, not all of them have to be the same. If your party has a theme, the favors can all be different types of objects or things that you found at a flea market, etc. Just make them fun wacky gifts for your guests that tie into your theme.

Expert Tip: Krista Lawlor, Craft Expert from Jo-Ann etc., says that when working with beads, you can use small plastic containers. This way you can trap the beads in the corners of the container rather than having to place bead by bead with your fingers. In addition, it makes it much easier to pour the excess beads back into the original container.
