Blind wine tasting allows guests to really focus on the flavor of the wine and tap into their own likes and dislikes. Disguising the labels will prevent guests from having a preference to their favorite label. Here are directions for making corsets to hide the wine labels.

    Wine Bottle Corsets

    Materials:

    6 fun foam sheets
    Magic marker
    Ruler
Cloth ribbon or thick gold cord
    Grape cluster rubber stamp
Purple and green, metallic gold or yellow craft paint
    Hole punch
    Scissors

    1. Cut the foam to fit around the bottles. You want a snug fit.

    2. Use a ruler so that the spaces will be even, and with a magic marker, make dots along the edges of the foam (figure A).

    3. Take the hole punch and punch out the dots you made (figure B). Use this one as a template for the remainder pieces of foam.

    4. Use the same grape cluster rubber stamp that you used for the invitations and stamp an image onto the front of the piece of foam (figure C).

    5. Use the gold cord to lace the corsets together. Start at the bottom by pulling the cord through the holes and then pull the cord up and make sure both ends of the cord are even. Lace the cord through the holes just like lacing up your shoes (figure D).

    6. Slip the corsets onto the bottles with the loose ends of the cord at the top, and adjust the cording and then tie a knot (figure E).
