- The important elements to bringing a spa feel to a space really lies in your decorations. We used plants and candles in the main party place, along with orchids to create a Zen feel. You can use leftover slate pieces stacked with stones, candles, and a bowl with floating orchid on top to emphasize the points of the pool (figure A).
- Kevin Lee, Event Designer, suggests using clear votive candleholders and candles all around. You can place them by your walkway for quite a statement. You can highlight the shape of the pool and platform of the whirlpool with votive candles (figure B).
- We contacted a local cosmetology school and were able to have a manicurist, aesthetician and massage therapist come and provide services for our guests.
- We used plants and an Asian Shoji screen to create privacy in the massage and facial areas (figure C).
