    Materials for Walkway Tiles:

    Eight 1-foot square floor tiles
    8-1/2 x 11 label paper
    Self-adhesive numbers

Print out large letters that spell L E T ' S P L A Y on the label paper and cut them out and stick one on each tile (figure A). For the numbers, place them in the bottom right hand corner. Use the same numbers that are on your scrabble tiles from the game.

    Materials for Scrabble Game Mat:

    3 x 5 foot sheet of linoleum
    Pencil
    Straight edge
    White paper tape
    Colored paper

    1. Draw 8 lines horizontally and vertically on the linoleum using a straight edge (figure B) making the squares 8 inches by 8 inches.

    2. Centering each line, type double letter score, triple letter score, and double word score in large letters and print out on the colored paper with your computer (figure C). Also, make a large black star in center of one piece of paper. Cut the paper down to fit your squares.

    3. Use glue sticks (figure D) to attach the colored papers to the squares on the linoleum.

    4. The white paper tape finishes off the edges of the paper and makes the grid ( figure E).

Note: To check your design, keep your scrabble board handy.
