Napkin rings give that final decorative touch to any table. Event planner Felisa Bayze shows how to use a glue gun and inexpensive materials to make napkin rings for any occasion or theme. All you need is about 6 inches of your favorite wire-edged ribbon and a little imagination. Simply glue the ends of the ribbon together and add other decorative features:
- This celestial napkin ring will lift your guests' spirits to the stars (figure A).
- For Southwestern flair, twist some chili peppers with a bit of raffia and glue onto the ring of ribbon with a piece of bandana (figure B).
- For something a little more upscale, tie a multiloop bow with sheer wire ribbon and attach a small trinket like this bird (figure C). Add decorative pearling and silk flowers for a more elegant feel, and glue the whole piece to the ribbon ring.
- Glue silk flowers onto a wired ring for the final touch to a garden party (figure D).
- Simply wrap a length of star garland around a napkin and curl the ends (figure E).
