Alternative Christmas Tree

Materials:
White tree
Lights
Bright ornaments
Tulle
Dupioni wire ribbons
Feathers
Florist wire
Newspaper
Fabric for tree skirt

Steps:

1. String the lights on the retro white flocked tree (figure A).

2. Add the ornaments (instead of the usual wire hooks, hang glass balls from decorative ribbons as in figure B).

3. Add the ribbon in a vertical pattern from the top.

4. Fill in spaces with tulle.

5. Add feathers to the top of the tree, holding with wire if they won’t stand.

6. Crumple newspapers and cover with fabric for the tree skirt (figure C).
