Mushroom bird (found at craft store) - Hot-glue the preserved cedar and holly berries to the miniature wreath.
- Hot-glue the mushroom bird on the preserved cedar.
Pine-Cone Ornaments
Materials: Pine cone
Greenery
Toy redbird
Holly berries
Fake pearls
Any other embellishments desired - Hot-glue the greenery to the pine cone.
- Hot-glue the holly berries to the greenery.
- Hot-glue a toy redbird to one pine cone and fake pearls to another to create two distinct pine-cone ornaments.
Decorative Journal
Materials: Blank journal
Colored decorative paper
Spray adhesive
Pencil
Scissors
Raffia
Embellishments for the front of the book (your choice -- vintage postcards, gold-leaf paper, plastic leaves, holly berries, etc.) - Cut the decorative paper 1" larger than the blank journal.
- Spray adhesive on the paper and attach to the journal by setting the spine down on the middle of the paper and using a pencil to create a ridge along the book binding.
- Press the overlap into the inside of the book at all four corners.
- To accommodate the book binding, cut two slits (figure A) and discard the extra paper when it has been hot-glued to the inside of the book.
- Use a different piece of decorative paper to hide the colored paper on the inside of the book. Simply cut two pieces that are the same size as the front and back covers of the book, and hot-glue.
- Decorate the front of the journal with any embellishment of your choice.
