Ingredients: 4 small yellow summer squash, washed and cut into 1/4" thick slices 1 medium onion, sliced into 1/8" rings 1/3 cup water 2 Tbs. brown sugar, or to taste Freshly ground pepper to taste Preparation: Place 4 small yellow squash and 1 medium sliced onion in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add water, but only enough to steam squash. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons brown sugar and add freshly ground black pepper to taste. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until done, about 20 minutes.
