    Apple Cider Cranberry Relish

    Ingredients:

    3 cups apple cider
    3/4 cup sugar
    4 cinnamon sticks
    1 Tbs. orange zest
    12 cloves
    2-1/2 cups cranberries

Tip: To tell if the cranberries are fresh, drop a few on the counter and see if they bounce. If they bounce, you know they are fresh.

    Preparation:

Bring the apple cider, sugar, cinnamon sticks, orange zest and cloves to a boil. Stir and simmer for 15 minutes until the sugar dissolves. Add the cranberries, increase the heat and bring it to a boil. Cook for about 5 minutes on the high heat until the cranberries begin to pop. Reduce the heat and cook it on low until it begins to thicken, stirring it occasionally.

When it begins to thicken, remove from the stove and take out the cinnamon sticks. Place in a bowl to cool. This relish is good served chilled with turkey.

We at DIY believe all of the recipes from All in Good Taste are accurate and reliable, but since we have not tested them personally, we can claim no responsibility if the desired results are not achieved.
