    Quick and Easy Marinara Sauce

    Ingredients:

    1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
5 cloves of garlic, crushed and chopped
Two 12-oz. cans Italian-style whole tomatoes with basil, seeded and cut into chunks, plus the juice
1/4 cup shredded fresh basil (1 stem)

    Preparation:

Warm oil in 3- to 5-quart pot over medium heat. Lightly saute garlic in oil (do not overcook garlic or it will taste bitter). Add the prepared tomatoes and tomato juice and simmer on medium heat for 20 minutes.

Add basil and cook for 5 more minutes. Remove from heat and let stand 10 minutes to absorb all the flavors.

We at DIY believe all of the recipes from All in Good Taste are accurate and reliable, but since we have not tested them personally, we can claim no responsibility if the desired results are not achieved.
