    Layered Ice-Cream Dessert

    Ingredients:

    10-oz. pkg. hard peppermint candies
    1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
    pkg. of thin chocolate round wafer cookies
    chocolate syrup
    whipped cream

    Preparation:

    Place peppermint candies in a food processor and grind to a powder; set aside.

    Layer a 13" by 9" pan with half of the chocolate wafers, half of the ice cream and half of the peppermint candies; repeat the layers. Freeze until ready to serve, then cut into slices and top with sprinkled candy, a dollop of whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.
