Bagels are an integral part of the Jewish way of life. There are all varieties of bagels -- something for everyone. Besides the traditional lox and cream cheese, there are many ways to top a bagel.

For a delicious spread, combine 1/3 cup cream cheese, 1 tablespoon chopped pecans and 2 tablespoons honey (figure A).

Spread cream cheese on a bagel and top with dried apricots, raisins and blueberries (figure B).

A good spread for a poppyseed bagel is 16 ounces of cream cheese combined with 1 tablespoon herbes de Provence and 3 cloves of chopped garlic (figure C). This spread tastes better if you let it sit in the refrigerator overnight so the flavors can blend.

We at DIY believe all of the recipes from All in Good Taste are accurate and reliable, but since we have not tested them personally, we can claim no responsibility if the desired results are not achieved.
