Note: Tapas is the Spanish term for hors d'oeuvres and appetizers. Ingredients: 3 whole large garlic heads Spanish pure olive oil Rock salt Aluminum foil Preparation: Cover bottom of roasting pan with rock salt. Shave tips off garlic heads (the pointed side). Place garlic in foil (stem side down) and pour olive oil over the garlic. Close foil tightly. Bake slowly at 225 degrees for 1-1/2 to 2 hours. After 1 hour, add more olive oil if needed. Reseal. - Olive oil
- Fresh garlic
- Spanish chorizo (highly peppered Spanish pork sausage) -- vacuum packed
- Brie or manchego cheese (mahn-CHAY-goh -- rich, golden semifirm Spanish cheese that has a fine, mellow flavor)
- Jar of red peppers
- Red-bell-pepper paste
- Any meat or veggie on hand
- Loaf of country bread
