Embroidery -- which takes time, effort and the acquisition of new craft skills -- can be replaced in a pinch with iron-on appliques. The difference is virtually undetectable.

Give your pillows and linens a fresh look with iron-on embroidered appliques.

    Materials: Iron-on embroidered appliques
    Iron
    Ironing board
    Fabric

    1. Place appliques on fabric, pinning into place if needed. Carefully turn fabric and iron-on upside down.

    2. Firmly press underside of fabric with iron for 10 to 20 seconds.
