For a different look, fold only the top corners of the package wrap down and in. Position embellishments lower on the pillow to cover the ends.

Linda Dennis, the author of 50 No-Sew Pillows (out of print), creates easy, no-sew pillows for any room in the house.

    Materials:

    Pillow form
Fabric square double the size of the pillow form plus 4"

Place the fabric square wrong side up on your work surface with the pillow form in the center. Fold one side toward the middle. Fold the opposite side (with the finished selvage edge) toward the center, overlapping the first side. Wrap the pillow like a package by folding each corner at a 45-degree angle into a triangle on each side and pulling them toward the middle (figure A).

Place a rose or doily embellishment over the top to hide the ends and add a finishing touch. If you like the look of the pillow, unfold and refold, this time gluing the fabric and rose in place with fabric glue. The glue dries clear.

Bandannas are the perfect size for covering a 10" pillow form.

Center a 10" pillow form between two bandannas, and knot each corner for a no-sew, no-glue pillow. Tie on cording or trim at the corners to embellish. Or use rubber bands to gather and secure the corners. For a larger pillow, use two kitchen towels or napkins.
