    Press the painters tape onto the previous stripe (figure A). To reduce some of the tape's tackiness in case the paint isn't completely dry, first press the tape against clothes or other surface.

    Apply paint with a roller, making sure always to paint in the same direction. Allow wall to dry overnight.

    The metallic paints give a subtle shimmer to the entire wall (figure B) and change as the light changes.

    Note: The brushstrokes will be visible with metallic paint.
