Create the look of expensive wall covering with a little paint and a lot of imagination.

Nancy Golden, host of DIY's Decorating and Design, shows how to simulate wallpaper.

    Materials:

    Paint
    Tray
    Sponge roller
    Rubber stamps (optional)
    Knife
    Tracing paper
    Pencil
    Level

    1. Decide on the pattern and draw or trace it on tracing paper.

    2. Cut out the design and wrap it around the roller; tape the ends together.

    3. Trace around the edges with black magic marker, cut around the design and peel away the excess foam.

    4. Load the roller with paint and apply to a primed and painted wall.

    5. If desired, add rubber-stamped designs to the painted wall.
