Artisans Henry and Marie Olko create one-of-a-kind art furniture cabinets that are both sophisticated and functional. Their storage cabinets, hand-painted architectural pieces, include an Italian village, a medieval castle, French storefronts and an English cottage.

With a background in the furniture business, Henry Olko wasn't satisfied to create an ordinary cabinet when he set out to make a storage unit for his granddaughter. Inspired by the architecture of the Cotswolds during family trips to England, he designed a Cotswold-cottage cabinet complete with a painted curtained window that opens to reveal a mirror and a hinged chimney that opens for storage.

Inspiration from European architecture is also evident in a large entertainment unit designed as a French hotel, with pocket doors that slip into the side of the unit and a mansard roof that opens for more storage.

Each handmade storage unit takes from three to five weeks to complete. After the piece is built, Henry's wife, Marie, hand-paints each piece, following a detailed penciled plan that includes all the architectural details.
