Materials:9' of fabric fusible tape, 1/2" wide iron pressing cloth tape measure fabric scissors straight pins No-Sew Table Runner - Wash and iron the fabric.
- Using a hot iron press a 1/4" seam on all four sides.
- Fold fabric over again and press a 3/4" seam on all four sides.
- Using the fabric scissors, cut out the "L-shaped" bulk on all four corners (figure A).
- Insert the 1/2" fusible webbing under the 3/4" seam.
- Press the hem with a hot dry iron and damp cloth to fuse the seams together.
- You can take two completed runners and fuse them together so that you have reversible sides (figure B).
Determining the Length of the Runner - Determining the length is a personal thing. Some people like to have the runner come to the edge of the table and others like to have a drop of about six inches. Some runners just skim the floor.
- It also depends on the fabric you choose. Sometimes lighter fabrics seem cool and relaxing just flowing off the edge of the table. Fabrics, like linen, pressed flat, can look more formal. Fold over the edges 1/4", press the fabric and fold it over again, this time, 3/4". Add 2" for the width and 2" on the length for the seam allowance.
