 Bratwurst Dogs With Grilled Onions

Tools:4 cups onion- sliced 2 Tbs. cooking oil 2 Tbs. water 4 1/2 tsp. paprika 1/4 tsp. ground cumin 6 slices bacon 6 bratwursts 6 buns heavy-duty foil wooden toothpicks large bowl
1. Coat the onions with oil, water, paprika and cumin and blend well (figure A). Securely wrap the mixture into a foil packet (figure B).
2. Wrap a strip of bacon around each bratwurst and secure with a toothpick (figure C).3. Place onion packet and bratwurst on grill at medium heat (figure D).
4. Turn the brats often. Grill for approximately 20 to 25 minutes or until the onions are tender and the bratwursts are cooked through. (At this point, the smell of the bacon combined with the onions will have your guests flocking to the barbecue.)5. To serve, remove the toothpicks from the bratwursts, layer the buns with brats and top with the onions.
