Crafter Joe Lamancusa shows special greeting cards that kids can make for any occasion.

    Materials:

    Assorted colored markers
    Card stock or note paper
    PEELnSTICK®
    Glitter
    Craft knife
Optional: construction paper, glitter, art supplies
    Designer's Choice® glue
    Glue pen

    1. Fold a piece of card stock or note paper in half. Draw a birthday candle at the bottom edge of the card centered between the sides.

    2. Cut a piece of PEELnSTICK adhesive to fit the face of the card from above the candle to the top of the card and the width of the card. Leave a circular opening around the top of the candle for the candle flame. Attach the PEELnSTICK to the card.

    3. With a craft knife, score the PEELnSTICK from the candle flame outward to the sides and top in a sunray pattern. Do not cut through the note-card paper (figure A).

    4. Peel away the adhesive backing on the first section of the sunray pattern, and shake burgundy glitter over the adhesive (figure B).

    5. Continue peeling away the adhesive backing on each section of the sunray pattern and applying different colors of glitter.

    6. Write a birthday greeting on the inside of the card with a glue pen, and sprinkle glitter over the glue (figure C).

    Confetti Card

    Materials:

    Confetti paste
    Card stock or note paper
    Color marker
    Paper plate
    Foam brush
    "Thank you" rubber stamp
    Fireworks rubber stamp
    Multicolored inkpad

    1. Fold card stock or note paper in half.

    2. Write a greeting on the front of the card.

    3. Pour confetti paste onto a paper plate. Apply confetti paste to the front of the card with a foam brush, covering the entire card. The paste will be white when applied but will dry clear so the writing will be visible (figure D).

    4. Rubber-stamp the inside of the card with several images of a "thank you" rubber stamp and a fireworks stamp in multiple colors (figure E).

      Variation:

      • Make a ribbon angel and tape it to the front of a card. Write a greeting on the inside of the card. The angel may be removed and put on a Christmas tree or used to decorate a candle (figure F).
