Therese Dellavalle, representing Magic DipB., explains how to apply the marbleizing product to paper, candles or clothing.

Magic Dip comes packaged with paints and conditioner for the water needed to create the effect.

    Tips for Using Magic Dip

    1. In a large tub, apply paint to the surface of the water one drop at a time. As soon as the paint hits the surface, it will begin to spread out.

    2. Colors may be mixed by putting a drop of a second color on top of a previous drop of paint (figure A).

    3. To move the paint around, blow on the surface of the water (figure B).

    4. Color is applied when items go into the water (figure C).

    5. To remove items from the water, blow on the surface to move the paint aside, then pull the item out of the water in the area that has been cleared of paint.

    6. To remove the paint from the surface of the water, wipe a page from the telephone book across the surface (figure D). Use the same water, and apply new drops of paint to the surface.
