Ever wished your garden had -- well, more dimension? Here, host Josh Schneider demonstrates a fun, easy way to further develop an existing garden space: hanging baskets. FYI: - Hanging baskets provide an ideal way to incorporate a "3D" gardening approach and instantly add visual height to a garden space.
- Trailing or spreading annuals are meant to be seen from the bottom as well as from the top.
- Although hanging baskets require more care and grooming than a ground container, they're worth the extra effort.
- Hanging baskets in a variety of shapes and sizes can be found in garden centers nationwide. Some have a moss lining, some don't. Keep in mind, however, that a hanging basket will need frequent watering and a moss lining will help the soil maintain moisture.
- Just as with garden or traditional container gardening, always choose plants that are compatible with the zone in which they will be located.
