For those who don't have a lot of work space and so do lots of gardening tasks indoors on a table, show host Kim Haworth recommends a gardening mat (figure A ). Some versions can fold up for easy storage, and are washable. Certain mats even have Velcro fasteners at the corners that you can connect to create corners -- turning the mat into a shallow box.
