For support boards within the frame, cut three 2x4s to correct length and nail into the frame.
Bathtub Installation1. Cut four 2x4s for construction of a basic frame that will fit your tub base. Nail the frame together. 2. Cut a 3/4 inch piece of plywood to match the frame size. With the frame in place, lay the plywood on top and screw it down. 3. Mark the location of the frame with a pencil so you can cut a hole in the subfloor for tub drain plumbing. The hole should be approximately one square foot. 4. Set the blade of a circular saw to the depth of the subfloor plywood to avoid all the pipes beneath the floor. Make a plunge cut in the floor and proceed to cut your hole. 5. Lift out the cut plywood with a pry bar. 6. Check for level of the new tub base. Adjust accordingly using shims. 7. Attach the frame to the wall studs and floor using screws at an angle. 8. Apply construction adhesive to the base of the tub and set it in place. Keep some weight on the tub to set the adhesive.

Drop batches of thinset around the cement and spread it out with a quarter inch square notch trowel, keeping it at a 45 degree angle.
| |

Apply thinset directly to the pieces and place them accordingly.
Shower Floor Tile Installation1. Mix the thinset to a desired consistency. 2. Set a full sheet of tile, starting in the corner and press it down with even pressure all the way around. 3. To go around notches or the drain, cut the mesh on the back of the tile using a utility knife. 4. To make up for gaps in these spots, mark individual tile pieces to size and cut with a tile saw.
