Attach two 2x6 pressure treated wood pieces about 5' apart using masonry screws. Use a level to make sure they are straight.
    Mounting Racks

    1. Measure the wall. Leave equal amounts on both sides of the mount.

    2. Pre-paint 2x6 boards to hold the racks.

    3. Place each steel frame on the 2x6s and use lag bolts to secure them in place.

    4. Cut wooden skids and drill them into the top sides of each steel arm to protect the kayaks.

Make certain your bottom rack is high enough so the hull of the kayak does not touch the floor.
    Tips:

    • Be careful not to drill into the mortar because it is weaker than the brickwork.

    Finishing

    1. Add trim around the door and windows to cover up the flashing and further seal the edges.

    2. Place your kayaks into the new rack and bring everything that needs to be stored back in!
