safety glasses
table Saw
sliding compound miter saw
tape measure
pencil
ear protection
finish nailer
1-3/4" nails
glass cut to size

Transom Window Installation

1. Set table saw guide to 3/4" width and rip 1x4 board to 3/4" to 3/4" square pieces. When you reach the end of the board, use a push stick to push the piece through (figure A).

2. Apply a coat of primer to the cut pieces.

3. After allowing the primer to dry, chop ends to length on a miter saw.

4. Measure and mark the opening so the glass piece sits in the center (figure B).

5. Place first set of trim pieces in opening. Nail into place (figure C).

6. Set cut glass piece against trim pieces (figure D).

7. Nail second set of trim pieces on the other side of glass to secure into place (figure E).
