Mail SorterAfter assessing the kitchen area and talking to Tom and Theresa about what kind of mail they receive and how they sort it, Andrew and Karl designed a mail sorter with cubbies that could fit on the end of the kitchen island. The sorter consists of pieces - two 30" wide by 30" tall by 8" deep storage cubbies and one 17" wide by 30" tall corkboard/keyholder.

Dining Room Storage CenterSince Theresa runs a home business out of her dining room and also uses the space for scrapbooking, Andrew suggested to Karl that the storage cabinets built include ledges for small shoe-box size clear plastic containers. A desk was built too. The computer and keyboard sat on a shelf that pulled out for easier access. Above the computer desk is a cabinet for storing other computer-related items. Cabinets - Right hand cabinet is 57" wide by 18" deep by 7' high.
- Left hand cabinet is 38" wide by 18" deep by 7' high.
- Wall cabinet (left side into corner) is 30" wide by 18" deep by 24" high. Other pieces are 30" wide by 18" deep table top for computer, slide-out keyboard drawer and interior shelves/dididers.
- Materials used: 3/4" birch plywood, 1x pine stock, 3'4" quarter round, glue on smooth laminate, door hinges and keyboard slide.
- Two main cabinets description: Both cabinets were constructed the same way. The right cabinet is larger and the bottom 34" contains fixed shelving while the left hand cabinet has space for the printer and roll-out scrapbooking cart. 3/4" plywood was used for the sides, top, bottom, dividers and shelves. 1/4" plywood on the back was used.
