    Tiling Backsplash

    1. Determine desired layout for tiles (figure A). Mark center line, measure height of tiles and snap a chalk line as a reference point (figure B).

    2. Remove any cover plates that will be in the way.

    3. Backbutter tiles with a V-notched trowel (figure C). Give each tile a little twist as you set them in place, this helps the tile adhere better to the wall (figure D).

    4. Use spacers to be sure the tiles sit straight (figure E).

    5. Cut tiles with a wet saw for the end pieces and to go around the outlets. For notched cuts, make a series of cuts and snap off the pieces with a pliers (figure F).

    6. The tile looks fantastic (figure G)!

    1. Set vent in place and check for level (figure H). Secure it to the wall with provided screws.

    2. Attach vent elbow to the exhaust pipe and secure with aluminum tape (figure I).

    3. Open up the electrical panel, fish the wires through the box clamp and connect the wires.

    4. Screw decorative vent cover to wall (figure J).
