    Hanging Wallpaper

    1. Apply sizing to walls and let dry before applying wallpaper.

    2. Cut wallpaper to length with utility knife. The sheets can be cut about two inches shorter than the height of the wall because the edges will be covered by base and crown molding.

    3. Apply paste with roller then fold, or "book", the sheet and let set for ten minutes (figure A).

    4. Draw plumb line with a level and hang sheet of wallpaper (figure B).

    5. Smooth out sheet with a stiff bristle wallpaper brush (figure C). With a flat wallpaper this process would be done with a straightedge tool.

    6. Once the top of the paper is smooth, unbook the bottom piece, and continue with the wallpaper brush (figure D).

    8. Repeat the process for the rest of the wall.
