    Materials:

    measuring tape
    1/8-inch Lauan plywood
    table saw
    panel adhesive to the plywood
    thick vinyl sheeting
    1-inch thick standard home insulating foam
    drill
    handles
    rubberized trim

    Soundproofing Windows

    1. Measure the window dimensions within the window framing (figure A).

    2. Use 1/8-inch Lauan plywood and cut it to the dimensions of the interior of the windows (figure B).

    3. Apply panel adhesive to the plywood (figure C).

    4. Place a piece of thick vinyl sheeting onto the glue (figure D).

    5. Put another coating of adhesive onto the vinyl.

    6. On top of that, adhere 1-inch thick standard home insulating foam (figure E).

    7. Once more, apply panel adhesive.

    8. Cap the insulating foam with another sheet of Lauan plywood (figure F).

    9. To complete the removable window insulation panels, drill holes and attach handles for easy insertion and removal (figure G).

    10. Add rubberized trim around the perimeter to help keep the panels in place in the windows (figure H).
