    Materials:

    Door

    shim stock
    pre-hung door
    3 inch screw
    screw gun
    hammer
    bubble level

    Lighting

    wireless RF switch
    double stick tape
    gloves
    track lighting system
    screws

    Door Installation

    1. Install the doorjambs with shims. Shim around each hinge. Fire nails through the jamb and into the rough framing (figure A).

    2. Since solid core doors are heavy, the goal is to make certain the jamb is secure in the framing. Drill a three inch screw through the jamb into the framing. Then, set the hinge back in place.

    3. Trim the excess shims with a utility knife and then set the solid core doors in place.

    4. Use more shims to center the door in the jamb (figure B).

    5. Use the same process to put in the other door (door to the sound booth).

    6. With the doors in place, install the hardware.

    Lighting Installation

    1. Use a wireless RF transmitter and receiver to enable the use of a switch light without actual wiring.

    2. Install the new fixture next to the old one. Insert a plug adapter into the existing fixture (figure C). And then into that, plug in the new lights (figure D).

    3. Also, attach the switch to the wall with double stick tape. This is a simple way to convert a light to a switch light without digging through the walls.
