    Materials:

    measuring Tape
    pry bar
    hammer
    chisel
    screwdrivers
drill, with drill bits and driver bits
    utility knife
    circular saw
hacksaw or reciprocating saw with metal-cutting blade
    weather stripping
    safety glasses
    work gloves

    Skylight Installation

    1. Drill the corners of the frame to delineate the boundaries of the skylight hole on the opposite side (figure A).

    2. On the roof side, make out the boundaries of the skylight entry with chalk lines (figure B).

    3. Using a pry bar, carefully remove the ceiling tiles (figure C). The goal is to save the tiles and re-use them later once the skylight is installed.

    4. Before cutting the hole in the ceiling, install blocks on the inside to ensure that the roof does not come crashing through (figure D).

    5. Using a circular saw, cut all four sides of the ceiling opening (figure E). Then, insert screws as lifting points.

    6. Once the roof is moved to the side (figure F), set the new skylight in place.

    7. To center the skylight, insert positioning blocks or spacers on the inside (figure G).

    8. On the exterior, secure the skylight with roofing nails centered on the existing bracket of the skylight (figure H).

    9. Carefully cut the existing tiles and secure them with nails on both sides of the skylight (figure I).

    10. The existing flashing around the skylight will help protect water from leaking in.

    Skylight Features

    1. When the skylight senses water on the exterior, it automatically closes.

    2. The skylight comes with a remote control that can easily shade the direct sunlight from beating through (figure J).
