    2x4 boards
    ring shank nails
    level
    Paslode nail guns (framing and finish)
    shims
    3" exterior screws
    chalk line
    cordless drill
    paddle mixer
    level
    utility knife
    sawhorse(s)
    measuring tape
    miter saw

    Wall Framing

    1. First, install a piece of pressure treated 2x4 to the concrete frame to act as a sill (figure A).

    2. Using a pry bar, remove the last of the trim pieces on the outside of the jamb (figure B).

    3. Cut the pressure treated wood and be sure to use care. The PT wood will form what is called the sill plate of the new wall (figure C).

    4. Mark the position of the edge of the door and framing.

    5. Lock the boards in place with washers and nuts (figure D).

    6. Next, take the measurements to frame out the wall (figure E).
