    Door Construction

    1. Since the doors on the pre-made cabinets didn't match the new custom design (figure A), new ones were made from Finland birch plywood. Once the stock is cut, round over the edges with the router.

    2. Sand the edges with a random orbital sander (figure B).

    3. To attach the new drawer stock, cut in mortises using a forstner bit at the drill press (figure C).

    4. Attach the hinges into the mortise and then join them to the cabinets (figure D).

    Bookcase

    1. Using the same material, Finland birch plywood, cut the side in the same curvy shape to match the back panel (figure E).

    2. Assemble the bookcase on its side so that the shelves join the sides together (figure F). Use glue and finishing nails to secure in place.

    3. Finally, set the custom bookcase into position (figure G).

    Staining

    1. To prep the wood for stain, apply a conditioner to seal the wood (figure H). Let the conditioner set for 10 minutes (be sure to read the manufacturer's instructions for specific directions).

    2. Apply several coats of stain (figure I).

    Media Install Preparation

    1. Using a hole saw, drill in a hole to create a place for all the cords to be set in (figure J).
