Countertop Tiling Completion
1. Mix grout. Grout is the layer of cement between each tile. When properly mixed, it should be the consistency of frosting (figure A).
2. Unlike the typical way of floating grout, the tile used in this project has different manufacture's instructions. Use a grout bag to squeeze the grout evenly between each tile (figure B).
3. Once the joints are filled, remove excess grout with a float that has a rubberized surface (figure C).
4. Use the rubberized float to spread the grout on the backsplash. Then, sponge away the excess (figure D).
5. Once the grout sets up for 48 hours, apply a sealer to the tile and grout lines (figure E).
6. This countertop is complete (figure F)!
