    Picture Rail Installation

    1. Using masonry bits, drill into the walls six feet above the floor (figure A).

    2. Attach the one inch by three inch trim to the wall using screws into masonry anchors (figure B).

    3. Next, use picture hangers in the wood.

    Wall Texture

    Materials:

    Rollers
    Brush
    Drop cloths
    Pain pans
    Moisture block
    Tint
    Texture paint

    1. Cover wall with moisture block using a thick roller and let it dry (figure C).

    2. Texture will be tinted and brushed on (figure D).

    3. Type and size of brush will depend on what style of texture you want.

    4. Brush on with swirling motion. Not very much coverage - less than 100 SF per gallon.

    Lighting Installation

    Materials:

    Light fixture
    Screwdriver
    Wire nuts
    Needle-nose pliers
Adjustable wrench, or ratchet and sockets

Tip: Always turn off the breaker to the fixture you are working on and if the box isn’t labeled, use this as a good time to label all of the breakers.

    1. Attach the new mounting bracket to the junction box.

    2. Attach the wires to the new fixture based on the manufacturer’s instructions. This is usually white to white and black to black.

    3. Secure the connections with wire nuts.

    4. Attach the bare ground wire to the green ground screw on the mounting bracket.

    5. Slide the new fixture over the bolts in the mounting bracket (figure E), and then attach the mounting cap nuts.

    6. Sandy's pool hall looks great (figure F)!
