Meet Curtis and Deb Orr, two overly ambitious do-it-yourselfers who found themselves in the middle of a bathroom repair that was over their heads. Two years ago, homeowner Curtis Orr began cleaning the bathroom and found he couldn't stop with just a good cleaning. In the process, he uncovered unwelcome rot and scorpions (common to the Phoenix, Arizona landscape, not common to a bathroom floor). The couple retreated to their children's bathroom, and have been there ever since.DIY to the Rescue arrives to help the couple create a functional and master bathroom. Together with the Orrs, the crew plans to:
- Replace shower and countertop with cultured marble.
- Install glass blocks to finish out the half-wall between the shower and bath.
- Install new glass doors and sink fixtures.
- Install new lighting, brushed nickel fixtures, mirrors and other finishing touches.
But first -- on to the glass block installation!
