    A lot of handyman jobs are considered back breaking endeavors, but who wants to break a back?

    Weekend Handyman host Paul Ryan shares a couple of tips for lifting heavy weight:

    • Instead of using your back for an extremely heavy object, why not consider using a car jack (figure A).

    • If you have to get rid of vinyl flooring, try removing it by using a large cardboard tube. Simply roll the flooring up on the tube (figure B). This will give you much better leverage.
