The Bless-Watson FamilyEach time the volunteer crew of family and friends hit a rock, they were put behind schedule. Despite being limited to weekend work time, the amateur crew assembled the kit with professional speed. The numbered panels made assembly a breeze; only five weekends worth of work. Seven months of finish work was still ahead for Jennifer and Barry: plumbing, drywall, and hiring out experts for the roof membrane and galvalume siding.
After a bit of hard work and perseverance, the Bless - Watson family can enjoy their LV mountain getaway. The flat roof is sturdy and engineered to avoid any drainage problems. The large spans of sliding glass and clerestory windows frame the trees from the outside and the inside. Overall, the house has something for everyone. Barry christened the home "Luminhaus," in celebration of the natural light that radiates inside.
