    The Bless-Watson Family

Jennifer Watson and Barry Bless and their four daughters were looking for an affordable weekend home in the Blue Ridge Mountains, where they could escape city life in Richmond, Virginia. One way they made the project more affordable was by building as much of it themselves as possible—the LV’s kit of parts was the perfect match for the family. Rocio customized this prefab home for the family. In just one week, they completed the 1,152 square foot floor plan.

After figuring out how to maximize the view of their beautiful land, the Bless family was confronted with some challenges beneath the surface. Excavating, trucking materials, and leading their team through the DIY home build would not be an easy task, and daughter Emma displayed early doubts that her parents would follow through with their pioneering endeavor.
