    The Rushford Family

The challenge at this Virginia build site is to build a round, prefab house in just five days. General contractor Steve Ellis and his crew have raced toward that goal for the past two days. Luckily, round home expert Tony Richardson is onsite to help out. Tony’s expertise kept the team moving earlier in the week, but there’s much more to accomplish before he heads off to another job.

Having completed the floor system, the crew must now fly in 18 wall panels with a crane and lock them into place by day’s end. Steve and Rodney hook up each 700 pound wall panel to the crane. Tony seals the wall panels together with a pneumatic clamp. Homeowners Greg and Lucy Rushford soak it all in as their future home starts to take shape.
