Dr. Drew Pinsky, of the radio talk show Loveline, is America’s favorite doctor. He has appeared as the medical expert on everything from Oprah to Dateline. But, this doctor also has an artistic side and a hidden talent most people don’t know about...he sings opera!
Pinsky’s mother was an opera singer, so he was raised around the music. However, in his youth he wanted nothing to do with it. It was only as he grew older that he began to have a true appreciation for the music. Pinsky says that to sing opera, one must learn the basics... how to sing vowels. He says that music is not his strength, but is a huge part of his life. He feels that everyone needs an outlet to express themselves. For him, that’s singing opera.
