    Materials:

    1 glass votive holder
    1 large rose silk flower
    leaves from the silk rose
    hot glue
    1-1/2" felt circle

    1. Break flowers apart into layers (figure A). Line the layers up by size, beginning with the smallest layer. Keep the leaves for later use. Discard the plastic center, stem and any small petals.

    2. Turn the votive holder upside down and liberally apply the hot glue to the base (figure B). Glue the smallest flower layer first, making sure to keep the petals pretty side up.

    3. Add a second layer of glue to the base and apply a second layer of petals (figure C). You can overlap where the petals meet; this will give the candleholder a fuller appearance. Continue layering until the petals are in place.

    4. Glue the leaves to the bottom to form a decorative base (figure D). There is no right or wrong way to arrange them; you just want to keep the leaves right side up. Glue a protective felt circle to the base of the votive to complete the project (figure E).
