    1. Start by applying a base coat of latex paint, then let dry.


    2. Make an oil glaze by mixing together one part oil glaze to three parts mineral spirits, then add several drops of tint.


    3. Paint on the oil glaze (figure A).


    4. While the glaze is still wet, use a badger brush to stipple it – getting rid of the brush strokes.


    5. Spray water on top, then wait for it to bubble.
