Guitar Case Storage

Shelves are installed into a guitar case, and then hung on the wall.

1. Clean the case using a soapy sponge.

2. Cut 2-3/4 inch MDF shelves using a table saw to fit the case.

3. Paint the shelves using black gloss paint.

4. Attach the shelves from the sides by pre-drilling and using rounded screws.

Plexiglas Backsplash Backer

A backsplash is installed onto the wall to add color and function to the room.

1. Cut a slab of 1/2 inch MDF approximately 4' x 4' into a desired shape with a circular saw or jig saw.

2. Prime the MDF white, and then paint the edges gloss black.

3. Cut and fit color acrylic pieces to fit the size of the slab.

4. If using a scratched acrylic mirror, try rubbing the surface with steel wool for a more stainless steel effect.

5. Use liquid nails to attach the acrylic mirror pieces and the colored acrylic in places that will be hidden.

6. Use painter's tape to hold adjoining pieces together, and then apply evenly distributed pressure until the adhesive is dry. Remove the tape.

7. Attach the shelves through the acrylic and MDF backers by pre-drilling, countersinking and using silver screws.
